World Health Organization Says No to Drugs and Surgery in Back Pain Guidelines

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently published their recommendations for treating low back pain.  They believe that healthcare providers should first recommend drug-free and non-surgical care to back pain patients. As a chiropractic clinic, we wholeheartedly agree.  Treating back pain more conservatively is better for the patient and saves costs for the patient and insurance provider, not to mention, lessens the risk of opioid abuse or dependence.
